Pre-Need & At-Need Arrangements
The Grosse Ile Memorial Cemetery provides both pre-need and at-need funeral service planning. Our staff is available to meet with you on-site so that you can select the location of the cemetery that best suits your needs and desires.
In the event that no pre-planning has transpired, the cemetery is prepared to immediately take you or your funeral home’s call to meet and assist you in securing the necessary plot(s) for you or your loved ones.
Full Burial & Cremation Plots Available
The Grosse Ile Cemetery provides both full burials and cremation internments. Full burials are coordinated with your respective funeral home and require an approved vault. Cremation internments are arranged directly with the Cemetery and usually conducted on weekends; however, weekday internments can be scheduled. Cremation internments do not require vaults.
Military Plots & Burials
The Grosse Ile Memorial Cemetery has a long history of providing families the ability to lay their military members to rest. Being adjacent to Grosse Ile’s former naval base, many veterans have been interned within the cemetery grounds. Military burials are closely coordinated with the family’s funeral home, monument company and local veteran organizations. We take great pride in having been able to provide service to all of our dedicated military personnel.
Multi-Person Family Plots
Often times, family members want to be interned next to one another. Unlike other cemeteries, the Grosse Ile Memorial Cemetery can accommodate that request and provides families the opportunity to purchase multi-person block plots so that family members can be buried together with the option of installing family monuments.
